whats a good first game?

i might get a 360 for my b-day and i dont have all the cah in the world so what a good (and possibly cheap) game to buy? im mostly in to FPS and RPG.whats a good first game?
oblivion is the best rpg n gears of war is the best shooter 4 the 360. cheaper games cud b burnout revenge, dead rising, cod 3 etc. Forza 2 cums out v soon n luks v gd. u shud get tht if u canwhats a good first game?
If you are on a budget, oblivion is relatively cheap, and will last you a long time, but if you want a game to introduce you to the powers of the 360, gears is great, but its quite short, still quite expensive, and if you arent on XBL, will leave you wanting much more.
Gears of War for sure.
You may consider COD 2 or 3 or just get a used game, it'll save you much.
Oblivion is the RPG to choose on the 360, whether you have a developer preference or not; it's the Western 1st-3rd person RPG for people who hate those games.FPS..One of the Call of Duty games would be best. If you aren't into 3rd person shooters, check out Gears of War anyway. It's a fun one while it lasts (which varies from player to player. As for me, I still have fun with the multiplayer. Anyone can as long as they change their strategies and can gain skill.).
let's see here....Burnout Revenge, CoD3, Oblvion...things of that nature are good to start with. I made the mistake of making GoW my first game.

If you are into traditional RPG, I will highly recommend the soon-to-release Blue Dragon (Character designed by the author of Dragon Ball).
COD2, Saints Row or Oblivion.
Crackdown, Gears of War, Prey, and Oblivion are all good choices.
Any of these games are great,Prey,GOW,Oblivion,F.E.A.R
Rainbow 6 vegas
My first game was Saints Row and I'm glad it was. There's a lot of variety and even if you get stuck, there's stuff to be doing. It's quite addictive aswell - I was playing for hours when I first got my 360.
