Bungie's Secret Intentions....

I haven%26#39;t seen this idea float around yet, and if it has I%26#39;m sorry, but I have a feeling one main purpose for the save films feature at the end of Halo 3 games is so they can catch cheaters/modders/etc much easier. I mean think about it, if there is a option to send your videos to Bungie where they can watch it, see the cheater, and then ban them, don%26#39;t you think that cheating would drastically drop?Sure there will be those people with the 48 hour Live accounts, but how many people do you think will be modding/cheating/etc on matchmaking when they can be so easily caught on camera %26#39;n exposed?Sure they say it%26#39;s for people to watch the game after and look at people%26#39;s strategies %26#39;n just to have fun with, but if Bungie were to use this as a anti-cheating device, it could really be effective.Just a thought, let me know whatchas think :)Bungie's Secret Intentions....
That would definitely help a lot. And I think it%26#39;s great they are doing it. But now the question is, will cheating be this easy that they have to implement a video capture in the game?Bungie's Secret Intentions....
Yes, I think bungie also had this in the back of their mind. Who knows, they also said they track the exact player inputs and all in the game. Maybe they also document the connections throughout the game, and then if you send them the info from a game you think they cheated, bungie can prove it through the info, and permaban anyone on sight (hey, as long as they%26#39;ve got evidence they%26#39;re able too). Another thing that may help is that people definately won%26#39;t be cheating with their main account knowing they can easily lose all their achievements and their friends list by cheating just once. Also you can%26#39;t top any leaderboards in 48 hours. This all means that I think cheating is going to be pretty rare.
Modding on Halo 2 is pretty much out the door with the new updates. And I thought it wasn%26#39;t possible with the 360%26#39;s?
I wonnder if there will be a ''Send to Bungie'' option with the movie files,,,Anyways the Beta owns btw :)
It would be a good idea, because honestly nothing ruins a game more than a modder, I mean if you suck so bad that you have to cheat why play against other players, why not play against your 4 year old special ed cousin?
