Xbox 360 Elite difference?

Sorry if this has been asked a lot, but I%26#39;m looking into getting an Xbox 360, but I will only have enough for a normal premium package. But if the elite is available to me and it%26#39;s a lot better, I may just save up for that. Could someone explain the difference, or give me a link or something? Thanks! Xbox 360 Elite difference?

So how much better is it than the old? Is it an absolute must? Can%26#39;t I just eventually get a 120 gig upgrade?
Ok, well the main difference that IMO is most important is the extra 100 gigs. It%26#39;s definitely worth it to me as I had enough to also pick up a game. But since you%26#39;re limited in cash, you would have to not only come up with the extra for the elite, but also get enough for a game (unless you want to play demos for a while, which is also fun). I got the Elite Wednesday and love it, I think it may even replace my PC gaming!
yeah, If you wanted a 360 now get the premium. I have it and its good. the elite is just if you want a lot of content and the HDMI ports. you can buy a 120GB HDD on its own but it costs about $200 and I have no idea how youre supposed to transfer your saved content from your 20 to 120 HDD if you decided to buy it after.

Well I%26#39;m not really too concerned about getting a game right away. All I care about is getting the system, then I%26#39;ll worry about anything else later. But I am worried though...what if I get enough money and I can%26#39;t find it in any store? I%26#39;m not going through ebay or amazon...anything like that just overprices their stuff.
Don%26#39;t worry about finding the Elite, it%26#39;s in almost all stores that sell consoles. Not many people are getting it because if they wanted a 360, they would already of had it.If you are getting a console, and don%26#39;t care about games right away, definitely go for the 360 Elite, 100% worth it.
Is it more stable, more powerful? Well I guess more powerful goes without saying. ...is it already out? I looked on gamestop.com%26#39;s website and it said it ships in 5 days or something like that.
It%26#39;s been out for 2 weeks (approx.). And by powerful? Nope, same chipset, only difference is 100 gigs more HD space, and HDMI ports. I don%26#39;t have a HDTV, just a 13'' tube TV and I%26#39;m still glad I got those extra 100 gigs. Think of how much content you can have on your 360, and not have to worry about it filling.
I don%26#39;t have an HDTV either, but doesn%26#39;t it display more? I mean, what am I really getting out of the deal? I%26#39;ve heard it was more stable than the normal white versions...is that true?
yeah man get an elite if you have the money, the premium only has 16GB of actual storage space which isnt much.
Well it may be... I%26#39;m not sure because I just got it. But common sense would tell me yes because MS probably would have fixed most problems before shipping it (they would have learned from the previous consoles).
Well it seems like a good deal...but you mentioned more content. What would I be downloading? I%26#39;m completely new to the whole Xbox 360 environment as far as the system goes. I%26#39;m fairly familiar with the game range.

That doesn%26#39;t sound optimal, lol
13 inches, wow you should check into buying a new tv the prices are very competitive.
Nah, the premium only has about 11 gigs when all is said and done. You get one long HD game video and that%26#39;s 300 megs. A good demo is a gig. You run out of space so fast on the Premium. An extra SMALL hard drive is $100. The BIG hard drive is $180. So if you get a Premium at $400, and buy either of those, you%26#39;re spending more. It%26#39;s really worth it to go the extra $80.Of course, if you don%26#39;t have an HD TV, it won%26#39;t look as good, you can%26#39;t read text as well, or see textures as deep, colours as vivid, you know all that, but, the graphics are still good. Don%26#39;t think that it won%26#39;t be worth it. As far as it being more stable, they are all more stable now. They had problems with early consoles, but extended warantees, reaplaced defectives, and of course increased quality control. You%26#39;ll be fine.

Or is it best to buy it ASAP (I do happen to have a PS2 I was thinking about trading in because I don%26#39;t play it anymore)?
If you don%26#39;t have any 360 at all as of yet...If you have the money get an Elite... Reasons being..Xbox 360 Elite Console - $479If you buy the Premium...Xbox 360 Console - $399Than later want the 120Gig HD...199.99$$....  The Elite gives you HDMI and the 120 Gig Hd... If you previously owned a Premium it%26#39;d be cheaper to upgrade the HD... If you don%26#39;t have the Premium the Elite is the best way to go. Regards,
Well, the only problem with sitting with the premium for now, is if you run out of HDD space, you%26#39;re going to spend another $180 to get that bigger drive. So now it%26#39;s almost $600 you dropped, instead of $480.  Of course, it%26#39;s up to you if you need that kind of space, but you do run out very quick if you download a lot of things. Plus, if you want to rent movies and stuff from the Marketplace, that takes up a bunch of space as well, so......it depends on if you get Live and how much you use it. Well, if you traded in your PS2, you might get a few bucks towards it, but since PS2%26#39;s are a dime a dozen, and really cheap anyway, they might not give you that much towards it.On a personal note, I never thought I%26#39;d need more space than the Premium offered, but after I got into the marketplace, demos, videos, I found that I ran out really fast.
