This guy on XBL told me that Halo 3 Beta ...

The weapons are very generic, meaning that you have your standard sub machine guns and rifles etc. but the alien equivalents are nearly the same except for shooting blue laser things and that it is hard to take pride in a specific weapon like one would with a torque bow or somethingAlso, there is no means of evasion, like with Gears of War, you have the roll and run and cover, whereas in the Halo 3 Beta you can jump in the air for a couple of seconds but pretty much if someone sees you, you have to move around and fight your best.Now Im still gonna buy Halo 3 when it comes out, but what really worries me is no means of evasion? Evading in Halo is actually simpler than gears.  All you have to do is jump around while moving unpredtictably and you're fine.  Gears is a little harder because it's difficult to roll around in cramped places whithout accidentally sticking to an object (I hate it when that happens).

Halo 3 Beta already owns Gears of War...maybe not as far as graphics go. Don't get me wrong, Gears is a great game, but nothing can compare to Halo online.

What human weapons are the same as the covenant weapons?  I sat back and couldn't think of any.  They are very different from eachother. 

Evasion?  Does your friend have a broken left analog stick?
