$300 used prem, or $400 new?

Well lately i've been dying for a X360 on account of the Halo 3 beta, and i was wondering, what would be a smater decision buying a used X360 prem with only a store warranty of 30 days, or a brand new one for $400 with Microsoft's year warranty?  I myself work at a gamecrazy in Arizona and by far the X360 is the system most defective system around.  So what's a smarter buy? Should i take the $100 dollar less gamble? Thanks! $300 used prem, or $400 new?
I never buy used systems, that's just my MO. I'd spring for the new one. Plus, it's like Christmas when you open a new 360.$300 used prem, or $400 new?
Well i usually buy everything else used, and i've been over the brand new packaging thing for a while. I do it all the time at work.

i have a used 360 and i have had no problems to this point.
You're playing with fire buying a used console.
Get a used one that is still under the one-year warranty. Then extend it.

I bought a used ps2 and it was basically brand new and worked perfect no problems.  while the 360 has many problems i think its worth the gamble.  I have had my 360 from day one and no problems yet so some systems will not have problems.
i thought the topic said used perm ahhaha
I've had a few customers who have already had 4 360's.  And i doubt it would be under warranty at all because the warranty requires the recent from the original purchase, which i highly doubt any used gaming place still has.
400$ for the new one. Better to have the warranty.
Get it new... in fact, get an Elite if you can scrape together $80 extra bucks, but DO NOT BUY USED. The electronics in these machines are too delicate to trust other people to have taken care of them. Plus you get a warranty with the new console in the event that its faulty. We're not in the same ballpark as buying a used N64 where the thing is just an adding machine with a nice case... this and the PS3 are like miniature game-centric computers and you get these stoners that just flip em around. Just buy new is what I'm saying.
Imagine what i can do with that extra $100.

Since many 360 break over a period of time I wouldn't buy a used one. Get a new one.Ps: Does the used ones come with a warranty?
I worked at EB, and I bought a used premium for $250(that employee discount rocks!!), and it never gave me a single problem.  Come to think of it, We sold PRP's with the majority of our 360, because everyone was so paranoid, and we never had anyone bring one in to exchange it because it didn't work.  I guess we just got a really good batch down here in Texas, because we never had a single complaint.  And as an employee, you should totally be able to find the best used one that you have.  I say go for the used.
Get the new one. If you have enough get the elite. I bout my prem about a year ago, and now its having probs. I'm thinking of trading mine in for an Elite one.
get a new one. I would feel at peace knowing that I am the first one to use the console. There is always a chance of the used one having problems... maybe it was modified before and you might get banned on Live... just to be safe.
Well, i would'nt try doing a used 360 becuase it could mess up easier than a new one, but that 30 day warranty might save you from worry.
I would $470 ELITE
just get the new one
